Haabjakoda invites you to an unforgettable water adventure on the banks of the Pärnu River, where an authentic, UNESCO-listed one-log boat, known as a haabjas, awaits you. Here you can rent a genuine haabjas and enjoy a peaceful one-hour ride on the river.
Navigating with a haabjas is similar to canoeing and is perfect for everyone – we provide paddles, life jackets, and thorough safety instructions.

You are invited to visit the sled dog kennel Thurisaz in Pärnu County, where you can directly experience the daily life of Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes, the charm of sled dog sports, and sled rides.
The visit begins in a cozy fireplace room where we offer tea and cookies. We introduce the sled dogs and the essence of sled dog sports, and talk about the dogs' life in the kennel and their training. We demonstrate how the dogs are harnessed and attached to the sled. Those interested can also participate in the preparations.
The highlight of the visit is a 2 km sled ride with trained Siberian Huskies and an experienced musher. The sled has a comfortable, safe seat suitable for children. Smaller children can ride with a parent or an older sibling.
After the ride, it is possible to interact with the dogs, walk them, pet them, and take pictures. The experience is suitable for families, groups of friends, and all nature and animal enthusiasts.
The activity takes place outdoors, so we recommend dressing warmly!

Taste and pick various wild berries, accompanied by a local Soomaa guide, while exploring the berry swamps and forests and learning about the inedible ones.
A fantastic way to learn more about Estonian's love of wild berry-picking and how to gather wild berries for winter months. The tour will also explore different ways to preserve berries, such as drying and conserving, through information on making preserves and jams.
This excursion includes a delicious meal at the end of the day prepared with the berries picked throughout the visit.
Did you know...?: The season for berry-picking trips begins in June and ends in October, and is suitable for families with children.
Alpacas are curious, albeit slightly shy animals that simply beam with positive energy and cheer you up with their large eyes and smiley faces!
In the Alpaca Farm, you can see alpacas – Peruvian animals grown for wool because of their wonderfully soft coat. Alpacas like to spend their days eating grass on the pastures. When guests arrive, they gather by the fence and wait for treats.
In the farm, you can pet an alpaca and feed it treats.
Beside alpacas, you can also see cute pygmy goats, miniature sheep, Angora rabbits, and chickens.

In winter, when the rivers and water meadows of Soomaa have frozen over and the weather conditions are favourable, you are welcome to try riding on a kicksled!
The Finnish sleds or kicksleds make it fun to hike on frozen flood areas or forest roads. When planning the route of the hike, we will take into consideration your wishes, experiences, and the weather conditions.
The sled hike will last for two or three hours and is also suitable for children!
We will explore Sorkuni Bog in Soomaa National Park.
We will canoe on the picturesque Halliste River, hike through meadows and the forest to a bog, and visit an ancient farmstead. Then, we will snowshoe across the bog to pools where we can swim and relax. On the way back, we will stop at an old hut, light a bonfire, brew tea from forest products, cook snacks over the fire, and talk about surviving in nature.
An experienced survival training instructor will lead the trip. After the hike, those who wish can order a warm sauna and an overnight stay at the Soomaa Holiday Village.
Soomaa Holiday Village is located on the edge of Soomaa National Park and its many waterways.
It is a unique pleasure to set off on a boat trip from our yard when the water is ice-free. A trip down the river is one of the best ways to explore the national park!

With a bicycle, you can comfortably discover nearby hiking trails – Riisa Bog, Ingatsi Bog with high observation towers, the Beaver Trail, or Meiekose's secret paths.
Our bicycles (for up to eight people) are waiting for you at Soomaa Holiday Village. Come by or book the bikes in advance by calling, and spend a day being active and carefree in nature.

The early spring flood season in Soomaa National Park is known as the fifth season.
The snow melts, and the water that flows into the Halliste and Raudna Rivers and their tributaries often cannot fit into the riverbeds, flooding the floodplain meadows and alluvial forests of the national park. This creates a unique landscape where paths disappear underwater, and movement takes place by canoe directly between the trees and over the meadows.
It is precisely at this time that the water travel season begins, offering an exceptional opportunity to explore the flooded forests of Soomaa by canoe. The high water level is usually at the end of March and the beginning of April, but with heavy precipitation, floods can also occur in summer and autumn.
We organize canoe trips every day throughout the flood period in the forests, meadows, and rivers of Soomaa.

Tipu Nature School aims to diversely spread environmental education. We are developing a nature school complex and organise learning days, trainings, camps, and hikes.
When visiting the nature school, we recommend a hike on foot or with snowshoes (in the winter) on the Pauna hiking trail (3 km), which starts near our building and offers a special experience.
If you make a booking, we can organise an entertaining and educational hike for your group in the forest, bog, and even on the river. Additionally, every year, we organise a hiking series which consists of four hikes and welcomes all nature enthusiasts.
It is possible to rent snowshoes and sledges from us.
